Hola!

Been a while, so whats happened, a couple of holidays and a couple of car crashes, I hope there isn't a link there as I am probably going to take some more later in the year. Spent a couple of weeks in the Dominican Republic which is nice and I would recommend it before the chavy folk who seem to be creeping in wreck, it was all-inclusive so I was drunk most of the time which always helps. Other trip was for T In The Park, more later but it rained most of Saturday which helped me find out my rain proof coat isn't

Reviews will be quick as I watched some of these before I left and I want to do some T coverage

Wolf Creek

Supposedly a true story but one of those one's where you find out at the end that they made most of it up as some of the people are still missing. Still pretty good and gory. Thumbs Up

Jarhead

Weird gulf war movie nothing really happens but I still liked it I think. Thumbs Up

Pirates Of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Got a migraine about an hour in which made the other hour and a half really drag, for a 2 and a half hour film there is no really story and it suffers badly from not having a beginning middle and end structure. Thumbs in The Middle

Chronicles Of Narnia

Pretty Dull, thumbs in the Middle

Azumi 2

Not as good as the first one but has some good samurai action none the less, Thumbs in the Middle

T in the Park review

Saturday

Manu Chao - I wouldn't buy his stuff but as bouncy festival music it was alright

Maximo Park - SHITE

Placebo - Alright, I am more familiar with their first couple of albums and they played more newer stuff

The Zutons - Fantastic, despite the storm they put on a fantastic set

Franz Ferdinand - Hated them before and they didn't change my mind, even the crowd only got excited for the hits

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Awesome as usual, even got a Bee Gee's cover from John. highlight, me and about 10 other people who know the pre blood sugar sex magic songs going mental for Me and My Friends

Sunday

Jenny Lewis and the Watsons Twins - brilliant again, played a new song and Handle with care which she never played on the tour

The Magic Numbers - good but the main stage didn't have the same feeling of being crammed in the X tent last year

Jose Gonzalez - Left after 4 songs as the sound where we were was crap

Feeder - Don't really like them but was really impressed with the set they did, add them to Skunk Anansie as bands I don't like on record but like live

Death Cab For Cutie - really good set and the second drum kit coming on for the dueling drums was cool

The Who - Played the hits and did the usual windmills and microphone swinging so was good fun and a great end to the weekend.

New DVD's

Christopher Guest Collection - Best in Show, A Mighty Wind and Waiting for Guffman, have not seen Guffman but the other two are genius

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - Only a fiver a amazon grab it

New CD's

Johnny Cash - American Recordings V - Some good stuff but a bit too much gospel for my liking

Thom Yorke - The Eraser - Really growing on me

The Who - Who's Next - couldn't find a best of cheap with Baba O'Reilly so got the album instead, pretty good
